Our goal is for you to feel right at home as soon as you walk into our salon. Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions so you can make the most of your visit.
At this time, we do not accept walk-in clients. We currently schedule new clients Tuesdays - Thursdays, however it may be a bit of a wait depending on appointment availability.
Stay Gold Salon is located inside the Sola Salons building directly indoors to the left in Studio 24. Parking is free and easily accessible!
We ask that you arrive on time (or even a few minutes early!) so you can get the most of your time with us. Need to reschedule? Let us know at least 48 hours in advance.
HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
When you make an appointment with us, that time is reserved specifically for you. We do not accept a walk in clientele, which means that if we are here at the salon, we are here for YOU! As of January 1st, 2020, we will require a credit card to be put on file to reserve all future appointments. Please understand that when you forget about or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we have little to no time to be able to fill that appointment and it is not fair to the rest of our clients who may have been able to take that spot if given a chance. Since we are reserving a specific date and time for you personally, if you no-show that appointment or do not cancel that appointment with at least 48 hours notice, a cancellation fee will apply.
Less than 48 hours notice of cancellation will result in a missed appointment fee of 50%.
If you make an appointment within that 48 hour window and cancel or no-show on the day of, a missed appointment fee of 50% will still apply.
“NO SHOWS” will be charged 100% of the quoted service amount and will be required to put down a non-refundable deposit for all future appointments.
Arriving 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment time may result in your appointment being cancelled and a cancellation fee of 50%. Depending on the service and timing, you may be able to keep the appointment and sacrifice a finished style at the end so that we do not run behind for our clients that are on time. We will always try our best to accomodate you, but keep in mind that it is fully up to our discretion whether we will be able to take you or not. Please, always call/text if you even think you might be late. We would rather know as early as possible so that we can fit you in without upsetting the flow of our day.
When you book an appointment at Stay Gold, you will receive a message confirming your booking. As a courtesy, we will also send you a message 72 hours ahead of your scheduled appointment time that will allow you to confirm your appointment via our scheduling system. We choose to give that much notice so that you have at least a full 24 hours to reach out and cancel or reschedule as needed. It is 100% your responsibility to remember when you have scheduled your appointment in order to avoid any fees from arriving late or missing your appointment. We totally understand that THINGS HAPPEN, but please, just reach out and cancel/reschedule your appointment as soon as you know that you will not be able to make it. You are always welcome to contact us and double check any appointments if you are unsure. These policies will allow us to continue to operate our salon as efficiently as possible.
We want you to LOVE your hair, so let us know what’s up and if there are any issues let us know. If you are not 100% satisfied, we ask that you contact us within 5 days of your appointment so that we can schedule you ASAP and have your services corrected. Any issues reported longer than 5 days from your original appointment will be assessed on a case by case basis. A product charge may apply for some “redo” services.
Just as we want you to love your hair, we also want you to love the products you buy from us! We will gladly accept returns for salon product credit within 30 days of purchase, so long as there is at least ⅔ of the product is remaining in its original packaging.
Cell Phones and Other Devices
Stay Gold Salon is a small, intimate studio. As a courtesy to others, please silence your cell phones and other devices. Do not use speaker phone unless absolutely necessary, and please use headphones if you would like to watch/listen to something on your device.
Stay Gold Salon is, again, a small and intimate studio. We please ask that your children do not accompany you to your hair appointment. We are not responsible for watching them and there are sharp/hot/chemical things all around the salon that they could get into. Also, it’s going to be like suuuuper boring for them and they will probably make you (and us) crazy. Best to leave them at home.
We will absolutely try our BEST to not stain or damage your clothing or personal property you bring into the salon, however we are working with chemicals that could potentially stain or damage your clothing or personal property. Anything you bring into the salon with you will be considered and assumption of risk on your part and we are not responsible for any damage that may occur.

USE COLOR SAFE PRODUCTS
Don't wash your brand new color down the drain! Invest in high quality, color-safe, and sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. We also recommend keeping your hair healthy with regular deep conditioning treatments and masks.
SKIP THE SHAMPOO
The biggest secret to long-lasting color is washing it as little as possible. Try not to wash more than 1-2 times a week with cool water and color-safe products. Our #1 tip? Become BFFs with dry shampoo and skip the wash.
TURN DOWN THE HEAT
Instead of dialing your styling tools all the way up, try starting at 300°F and slowly work your way up until you find the temperature your hair responds to. For our friends with curly or thick hair, you might need to turn up the heat, but no higher than 380°F. Don't forget to use a heat protectant spray!
Booking your follow-up appointments in advance means that your hair maintenance will be consistent and easy. Generally, plan on see us every 4-8 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows and how dark your hair is naturally.

We are SO excited to be able to welcome clients again at Stay Gold Salon post quarantine. We want to let you know that things will be a bit different than the last time we saw each other. We have put a great deal of thought and care into making our salon as safe and sanitary as possible, while still providing you with the same level of service we always have.
Here is what you can expect from us:
We have always practiced high levels of sanitation by profession, but we have stepped up our game and will be cleaning all implements and surfaces in the salon before, during, and after each client with cleaners specifically targeted to combat COVID-19.
We will be wearing masks and other PPE throughout your service, for your protection as well as our own.
We will not be offering snacks or beverages at this time. Please take that into consideration before you arrive for your appointment.
If either of us feel sick or have any symptoms of COVID-19, we will both be cancel all appointments until we both have negative test results.
SOME BADASS HAIR!!!
Here is what we ask of you in return:
When you arrive at the salon for your appointment, please stay in your car and text us when you arrive. We are limiting our salon to 4 people at a time (Julie, Sara, and one client each). We will text you when it is your turn to come in! Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. We will not be accepting any late clients.
Upon entering the salon, we will be taking your forehead temperature and asking you to sanitize your hands before sitting down for your service.
You will be asked to wear a mask for your entire service while in our studio. You may bring your own clean mask, or we will provide a disposable paper mask for you.
As we’ve stated above, we are limiting the amount of people in the studio at one time and so we will not be allowing anyone to accompany you to your appointment (let’s be real, does anyone want to wait that long for you here anyway? ) If your child is receiving a hair service, you will still be asked to wait outside the studio until the service is complete.
While we will still accept cash, we would greatly prefer contact free options of payment including credit card, venmo, or paypal.
Please limit the personal belongings that you bring into the salon. We will have a plastic bin that we will be sanitizing between every client that will be available for you to put your things in. Please do not bring coats, large bags, backpacks, laptops, etc.
We do ask that you be patient with us, and allow a little bit extra time than your average appointment due to the increased cleaning and sanitation required. We know that all of you understand and appreciate the extra lengths that we are going through to keep you safe!
Please, DO NOT come to your appointment if you or someone you have been in close contact with has had symptoms of COVID-19, a positive test result, or is waiting on test results. We will be forced to shut down the salon for a minimum of 2 weeks and be forced to cancel all upcoming appointments if it is revealed that we have been exposed. We will not be enforcing our cancellation policies due to illness of any kind.
